Pre-export requirements :

  • all horses get tested on piroplasmosis, dourine, glanders, equine infectious anemia (EIA) , please contact us for a laboratory form
  • mares and stallions need additional CEM testing
  • custom document
  • a valid US health certificate issued by a government vet
  • if a horse has NOT resided in the country of export 60 days prior to the export, the horse will need an EU health papers issued by a government vet as well the paper below needs to get issued by country´s designated vet

Import requirements :

  • USDA quarantine for all horses, tested on piroplasmosis, dourine, glanders, equine infectious anemia (EIA)
  • mares and stallions older than 731 enter  days obligatory CEM quarantine approved by the USDA

Pre-export requirements :

  • all horses get tested for piroplasmosis, equine infectious anemia (EIA), equine viral arteritis (EVA) (within 60 days before export) please contact us for a laboratory form
  • mares and stallions need additional CEM testing 3 times with 7 days interval, 1 time PCR dry swab for herpes type 3 (within 60 days before export)
  • 21 days of quarantine, compulsory for horses younger than 4 years and horses originate from Spain:
  • a valid Mexican health certificate issued by a government vet (compulsory: pre vet certificate issued by the practicing stable vet)
  • custom document and EUR 1

Import requirements :

  • after release from customs and agriculture authorities at the airport, horses need to go to authorized stables by Mexican ministry of agriculture to complies with 30 days quarantine required for all horses imported from europe,
  • in this quarantine horses need to be tested for glanders, dourine, piroplasmosis, anemia and equine viral arteritis, also in case of mares and stallions older than 24 months they need to be tested for CEM
