Every story of a successful equestrian business begins with a true horseman. For Guido Klatte International Horse Transport, the story starts with an entire family of horsemen and women. From their family´s farm in the village of Lastrup, located in the heart of Germany’s famed Oldenburg horse area, the Klatte´s can trace its history back over 300 years.

After a competition career in international show jumping and eventing, Guido Klatte together with his wife Britta established the company to give horses wings in the mid-1980s. Their experience in agricultural business, logistics and horsemanship laid the foundation for what has now become one of the worlds most successful international horse transport agency. All of Britta and Guido´s three children, Alina, Victoria and Guido Junior are familliar in competing up to Nations-Cup show jumping on “home made” horses. The whole family lives the ambitious Equestrians life and good horsemanship.

With nine transport trucks that make up the most modern fleet in the European Union, and weekly flights booked around the globe, Guido Klatte Horse Transport moves more than a few thousand horses per year.

Over the years, Guido Klatte GmbH & Co. KG has handled all different types of horses. It is always a pleasure to transport various Olympic and World Champion equine athletes, young prospects on their way to a new life overseas as well as family loved equines.

“It is a big responsibility for us to get every horse in our care to its destination safely and comfortably. We thrive on the challenge, thank every client for their trust in our knowledge and we appreciate the business they give to us.”
