Every successful equestrian business begins with a true horseman. For Guido Klatte International Horse Transport, that story begins with an entire family of dedicated horsemen and horsewomen. From their family farm in the village of Lastrup, located in the heart of Germany’s renowned Oldenburg breeding region, the Klatte family can trace its equestrian heritage back more than 300 years.
After a successful international career in show jumping and eventing, Guido Klatte, together with his wife Britta, founded the company in the mid-1980s with a clear mission: to give horses wings. Their combined expertise in agriculture, logistics, and horsemanship laid the foundation for what has since become one of the world’s leading international horse transport agencies.
All three of Britta and Guido’s children — Alina, Victoria, and Guido Junior — are accomplished riders, competing up to Nations Cup level in show jumping on homebred horses. The entire family lives and breathes an ambitious equestrian lifestyle, guided by the principles of true horsemanship.
With a fleet of nine state-of-the-art transport trucks — among the most modern in the European Union — and weekly flights booked around the globe, Guido Klatte International Horse Transport safely moves several thousand horses each year.
Over the years, Guido Klatte GmbH & Co. KG has had the priviledge of handling all types of horses. Whether it’s transporting Olympic and World Champion equine athletes, young prospects embarking on their journey overseas, or belovesd family horses, each one is treated with the utmost care and respect.
“As a company, we recognize the great responsibilty entrusted to us in ensuring that every horse reaches its destination safely and comfortably. We embrace this challenge, deeply appreciate the trust our clients place in our expertise, and are grateful for the opportunity to serve them.”
